I’m a lot like you: an ordinary woman grateful for the extraordinary grace of my Heavenly Father. I’m a daughter, sister, wife, mommy, friend, and child of an amazing God. I was so blessed to grow up in a Christian home where I was encouraged, nurtured, prayed over and even disciplined when I needed it. I’m the firstborn of three kids, and I’ve been married to my wonderful husband for more than 16 years. Oh, and we have three perfect kids as well. *wink*
I accepted Jesus as my Savior when I was a little girl, but I didn’t understand what it means to truly follow Christ until I was much older. I’m still learning, really. I’ve made plenty of messes in my life, but He has been so faithful to shower me with grace. I need His grace for my mess every day. That’s the wonderful thing about God: He meets us where we are - in our sin and brokenness and faithlessness – and showers us with His extravagant love through Jesus as we walk with Him.
Hmmm… what else? I love to read, write, cook, listen to music, spend time with family and friends, take long walks and laugh with my husband and kids. I dream of becoming a published author, sing in the car, wear flip-flops all year, and love Mexican food and my Fightin’ Texas Aggies ~ whoop!
Most of all, I want to grow to love Christ more each day, to walk in a manner worthy of His sacrifice and become all that I was created for.
