Bookshelf

Welcome to my bookshelf!

“A home without books is a body without soul.”
- Marcus Tullius Cicero

I love, love, love a good book!

My secret fantasy is to be locked in a little indie bookstore for a few days with no kids, a comfy chair and a bottomless pot of coffee so I can read to my heart’s content!

(I love my kids dearly, but this is a fantasy, after all.)

I’m currently in a season of life where “free time” is hard to come by, so I’m not reading as much as I’d like.  In the meantime, I’m compiling a list of the books I already love as well as the books I want to read when I can make time.  I might even review a book or two if I get the itch.

I’d love to hear about your favorite book!  If you have a recommendation, please let me know in the comments.  I’ll be your new BFF.  *wink*

The Bible  ~  GOD  ;)
To Kill a Mockingbird ~  Harper Lee
One Thousand Gifts  ~  Ann Voskamp
The Poisonwood Bible ~  Barbara Kingsolver
The Help  ~  Kathryn Stockett

    Jana,
For some reason I’ve never gotten around to reading The Poisonwood Bible, but every other book on your list is on my list of favorites. Teaching To Kill a Mockingbird was the highlight of my year each year I taught. Great list, kindred spirit!

What do YOU think? I'd love to hear from you! I read every comment and truly value your input.
